Blumhouse’s Upgrade: Red Band Trailer Sings The Film’s Gory Praises

<img src="https://https://static3.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Logan-Marshall-Green-Upgrade-Blumhouse.jpg" /><p>Blumhouse’s ultra-violent sci-fi thriller <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/upgrade/"><b><i>Upgrade</i></b></a> hits theaters next week, and in case you were still on the fence as to whether or not it was for you, a brand new red band trailer is probably all the evidence you need to make an informed decision. The new movie from <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/saw/"><i>Saw </i></a>writer and <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/insidious-3/"><i>Insidious: Chapter 3 </i></a>director Leigh Whannell has been a topic of conversation since screening at SXSW earlier this year. Since then, Blumhouse has been marketing the film as an over-the-top thrill ride, akin to a grindhouse picture.</p><p>The first red band trailer released in April more or less delivered the goods as it were in terms of just how far the film was willing to go depicting an ultra-violent near-future world where a grieving husband gets a shot at revenge thanks to a computer chip that turns him into a veritable killing machine.
