Burning Sun Assault Victim Shares Reports Of Date Rape Drug Use At Clubs

Kim Sang Kyo, the victim of the Burning Sun Assault, has been sharing reports he received from informants about the sales and use of date rape drugs at clubs.

On January 29, he shared a video clip on his Instagram that asked anyone who has used, been victimized or knows more about the date rape drug known as GHB, or any other hallucinogens to report this to SBS.

*GHB (Gamma Hydroxybutyrate): often referred to as “club drug” or “date rape drug.” The effects of this drug may include euphoria, increased sex drive, tranquility, sweating, loss of consciousness, nausea, hallucinations, amnesia and coma.

Then he shared some of the reports he received on his Instagram Story. One of these was a screenshot of a conversation between a female stimulant salesperson and a client.

Salesperson: Due to the current situation, we will not be selling female stimulants for the time being.
Salesperson: Please watch what you say and refrain from using the products. If you’ve seen this notification, please confirm. If we don’t receive a confirmation, you will be added to the blacklist.

Client: Confirmed, thank you for your work.

Another salesperson had even sent their client a photo of a woman who was drugged. When the client asked about the legality of what was happening, he claimed that it was fine as everything was already settled with the “people above.”

Salesperson: Yes, drugs
Salesperson: In effect lol
Salesperson: We have various drugs like Viagra and Baomei lol

Client: Aren’t those illegal?

Salesperson: It doesn’t matter
Salesperson: We’ve already settled this with those above lol
Salesperson: Would you like to take some quality drugs next time you visit? lol

Client: No, that’s okay. I don’t like this type of thing.
Client: This is really off-putting.

Another conversation between a salesperson and a client indicates the effects of some of these drugs with some apparently making the victim pass out and lose all memory.

Kim Sang Kyo also shared the story of a woman who claims to be a victim of an employee of Club Burning Sun. In a long post, she told the story of how she was sexually assaulted by one of the employees but was ultimately unable to report the case to the police because the club had deleted the CCTV footage.
