Doctor Who: Tom Baker’s Most Popular Episode Coming to Theaters

Though the conceit of <em>Doctor Who</em> allows the role to pass to new actors along the lines of <em>007</em>, the nature of the show and the lead character means the various incarnations aren't prevented from interacting with one another. Because of this, the show has been able to establish a sort of interweaving tone, where events of the past, present, and future can all combine—sometimes even <a href="">rewriting the history of <em>Doctor Who</em>.</a></p><p>Often, the nostalgic nature of <em>Doctor Who</em> manifests in the form of special episodes and cameos by previous actors (or proxies for them).
