If there’s one name that comes to mind who’s pushing Moombahton and his unique brand of global bass music harder than anyone, its Los Angeles based JSTJR. Coming off a hot 2018 filled with international hits and collaborations, JSTJR sets his sights on his new record label, called Group Chat. With a new label comes a new EP in the form of his El Culo EP. The single, “Culo Pa Tra,” is a twerk-inducing jam thats seen massive support this year. “Subete”, a collaboration with moombahton heavyweight ETC!ETC!, uses vocals from Joelii to blend EDM with Latin pop. The blaring synths of the first main section give way to a repetitive vocal hook and reggaeton rhythm in the second half. “Big Booty Gyal,” featuring Furo, goes the hardest. Starting with a slow, hardstyle-tinged dembow beat, it begins to venture into a more trap oriented sound before dropping into a full-force, four-on-the-floor second drop.
