Ron Howard ‘Seriously Exploring’ Willow Sequel With Lucasfilm

<img src="https://" /><p>Director Ron Howard tells fans to keep their fingers crossed, as he's "<em>seriously exploring</em>" making a <strong><em>Willow</em></strong> sequel with Lucasfilm. The original movie starred Warwick Davis as the titular Willow, a dwarf who reluctantly takes on the task of protecting a baby with a special destiny. Together with his band of allies, including Val Kilmer's swordsman Madmartigan, Willow must fend off the evil sorceress Queen Bavmorda and her henchmen, who want the baby dead.</p><p>Released in 1988, <em>Willow</em> was only a modest success, grossing $57.3 million on a budget of $35 million. Nevertheless, the film gained a loyal fan following and a lot of those fans still have a fondness for the movie 30 years after it hit screens.
